About the COVID Safe Cat First Aid Course Course:
This is an online course that you can do at your own pace, anytime and anyplace in the world that you want.
The course includes a Theory and Practical Workbook that you complete and return to the Academy for Assessment.
- The Theory part of the course is made up of a series of questions and exercises relating to any of our First Aid Books, including – Animal First Aid: A Professional Manual eBook.
- The Practical element involves specially chosen videos illustrating important aspects (Skills) of Pet First Aid and CPR.
- The practical assessment involves the student practising the skill with an animal care professional such as a Veterinary Surgeon or Kennel Manager and the Videoing the student undertaking the skills. Then you send these to the Academy for assessment also.
- The Skills include animal health assessment, CPR (e.g. Chest Compressions and Rescue Breathing) and bandaging methods among other things. You can video yourself doing these on your Mobile Phone.
- The only prerequisites are a mobile phone or video camera, a professional to do the practical skills with, this book and of course enrolling in the course online.
- On successful Completion of the course you get a certificate – Statement of Attainment, suitable for framing. You are then Certified competent for 2 years.
- We also have a Refresher Course to keep you up to date, at a much-reduced Course Fee
- This course may also count towards to CPD / CVE points.
